My name is Douglas S. Basberg, N8VY (HAM).

I am a retired electrical engineer that worked on automation/robotics/embedded controls (powertrain/industrial/computerized instrumentation). I worked on systems design/software/hardware.

I took all three license exams on Jan 22, 2011, so I am new to HAM radio. I have just started learning about APRS. I have ordered the Opentracker USB and GT-320FW GPS. I will use these with my LaCrosse ws2315 weather station and Quansheng HT on 2 meters. I will be using UI-View s/w and others as I discover them (suggestions?).

Next comes the design of connecting the hardware. I hope to get some support from Argent with this.

I would like to share experiences with other Argent product users.
